Purchased 3 bottles of whisky/bourbon, spending £138. Goods arrived, no problem.
However, I made the purchase via Quidco, as The Whisky Shop advertised a cashback rate of 3.75% of purchase value, which would have been £5:17p, not a lot, but every penny counts. Received email today, advising that they will not pay the cashback as I didn’t use Quidco for the purchase. I know for a fact that I did, but if £5:17p means that much to you, you can keep it, I will not be using your company again!

This is a great local shop but the online price £7.00 lower than shop price even if I paid for postage it would still be cheaper than the shop.
The reason for the difference was they have to be more competitive online.
I understand why they don’t do click&collect.

My bottles got broken in transit (which were going to auction) and was not refunded the full amount of the reserve on them.
Will never use this service again.

My review is for the Whisky Shop Auctions who have been fantastic. Such an easy and seamless process to sell some bottles. Very professional and efficient. Always replied promptly to emails etc. Can’t fault the service.

Ordered without issue and arrived quickly within specified times. Received email with delivery time from courier the day before delivery. Very well packaged.

I wish they'd offer gift bags/gift wrap when ordering online from their site, even if for an additional charge.

I sent a bottle of whisky (£35) to Germany for a friend. It cost an extra £25 to send it, and then there was a €20 tax at the other end. There is some small print in the website but why on earth anyone use this company to send gifts overseas!!!!!

I have had no problems with their on-line site, bottles ordered have been dispatched the same day (if ordered before 12:00) and have arrived the following day.
Prices compare favourably with others for the majority of whiskys they sell.

I ordered 6 whisky bottles as a gift for Italy on December 17th. It is January 13th and nothing is delivered and I have made 3 requests for information from them and got no reply. You cannot talk to anyone and e-mails go unanswered. This is probably a scam and I imagine they are still taking orders. Absolutely criminal

They sent my gift to me in London instead of to the intended recipient in Devon.

Then told me I had to return it before they could send out to the correct address

outstanding customer service - a problem with addressing was solved quickly, efficiently and courteously. Very pleased with this seller and will use them as a first choice in future.

I placed an online order mid October and then heard nothing. They did not answer the phone or respond to multiple emails/messenger msgs. Finally someone got in touch yesterday. Shockingly bad. Do not buy from these people.

I joined The Whisky Shop’s W Club. I paid my £30 and got a membership card which I tried to activate. My number came back as invalid.

Not to worry, I will ring them but they’re not taking calls during Covid.

I will email them, once, twice......... eight times and not one response from any of their email addresses.

Absolutely disgusting administration. I wouldn’t join this so called club unless you want to get as frustrated as me and have to go to all the bother of claiming my money back from my credit card company.

I've been a regular customer of The Whisky Shop the past two years and really love their Whisky Wed deals for W Club Members, along with their tasting events (pre-Covid of course) and Paternoster Square shop near my office. Since lockdown I've found myself checking their offerings frequently, including the indie bottlings as they have a very good selection, thanks!

Online order in Scotland - Probably the best customer service I've ever had . After a problem with an order (caused by the delivery company) they responded super fast and got a replacement out in a couple of days which saved the celebration. Top job!! Thanks again :)

After confusion over an online order, The Whisky Shop (Neil in particular) was excellent in dealing with my situation. I don't normally leave reviews, but the service really has been outstanding. Buy with confidence.
